I, Kanna, am pleased to announce that I will officially assume the name of Akechi, with the permission of those who have supported Akechi Kikaku for many years, which manages the rights to the late Akechi Denki, and with the endorsement and support of various senior members and others involved. From September 11, 2022 (my master's birthday), I will take the name Akechi Kanna 明智神凪.
Unfortunately, some young people today may not be familiar with Akechi Denki.
Akechi Denki (明智伝鬼) has been a versatile and nationally known figure in numerous SM videos, SM live performances, and mass media from the 1980s to 2005. He was a genuine BDSM player who truly enjoyed playing fiendishly while staying close to the hearts of women. While analyzing and pursuing Hojojutsu of the traditional Japanese martial art, he was an iconic figure in SM that greatly influenced modern bondage with his innovative Kinbaku style that was ahead of its time, while overwhelming others with his progressive perspective and outstanding sense of style.
The models of the shibari styles used by many people in Japan and around the world today, such as Ushiro Takate-Kote Tasuki-gake shibari (also known as Mount Fuji), the back hexagonal (Kikko/tortoise-shell) shape knotting, and Hojo Takate-Kote shibari, were created by Akechi Denki. He established the concept and technique of modern Kinbaku from bondage in SM play, and built a unified system with a different approach from that of the late Nureki Chimuo, another legendary Kinbakushi. He was also a prominent leading cultural figure who introduced "shibari" to Europe and promoted it internationally through performances in the Netherlands in 1998 and 1999.
He was generous and never flaunted his talents, but was humble and eager to challenge and learn. Being able to closely observe and learn from the exceptional humanity and learning attitude of my mentor has been an invaluable life asset for me.
There have been many rumors and speculations about Akechi Denki's successor, which have caused no small amount of confusion. Akechi had three female disciples ("Onna-deshi"女弟子), Akechi Enka (明智炎華), Akechi Raika (明智蕾火) and Akechi Kadera (明智伽刹). Saikatsu, who had been Akechi's assistant for many years, also worked under the name Akechi Saiki (明智才鬼) when tied on behalf of Akechi Denki.
I myself met my master, Akechi Denki, in 2000 and was taught Kinbaku, and made my show debut with him in a spectacular way. As I was given opportunities to perform with him at various events, I decided that he was the only person I would continue to look up to as my master, so I asked him myself to let me use the name Akechi on my own and took the name Akechi.
On July 17, 2005, Akechi Denki passed away suddenly, at which time my elder sister disciple ("Ane-deshi"姉弟子), Raika and I relinquished our family name, Akechi. Later, when Raika retired in 2015, I was entrusted to pass on Master Akechi's rope as a fellow pupil (;sibling apprentice "Kyodai-deshi"兄弟弟子). I am pleased to announce that after 19 years, my long-cherished wish has come true and I have officially assumed the Akechi family name.
For me, Akechi Denki was the only master (;mentor, teacher "Shisho"師匠/"Sensei"先生) I have ever had in my life, and even after his passing, I have always kept Master Akechi's image in mind in my all activities. To be honest, I never dreamed that the day would come when this long-cherished dream would be rewarded, and now that my wish has come true, I can only say that I am very happy.
It is truly unfortunate that we cannot get permission directly from Master Akechi himself, but even after his passing, the name of Akechi has been remaining an indelible mark in the SM and Kinbaku scene, and we are keenly aware once again of the heavy responsibility of carrying on such a great name. I will dedicate my life and all my energies to carry the name of Akechi on my shoulders in order to pass on to future generations the shibari and cultural achievements left behind by my master.
Akechi Denki, loved by many, has as many images of Akechi Denki as the number of people involved, and numerous personal stories emerge depending on the era and perspective. We would also like to hear from our seniors about the appeal of the human Akechi Denki and pass it on to the next generation.
There, I felt that it was not only my own strength that has built Kanna to what it is today, and with the recommendation of those involved, I entered the same family register as Kagura, we will both take the name Akechi Kanna and Akechi Kagura, and from now on we will live hard sincerly as long as we have each other's lives.
We are still in our infancy, but we will renew our spirit so as not to disgrace the name of Akechi, and with deep gratitude to all who support us, we will devote ourselves to making as many people as possible experience the joy and pleasure of rope. We look forward to your continued support and patronage.
As a sign of our sincere determination, we are pleased to announce the succession party of Akechi Kanna and Akechi Kagura at Theater GOO (formerly Theater POO) on September 11, the anniversary of Master Akechi's birth!
Therefore, in consideration of the impact of the Covid, the event will be held in two parts. The first part of the event will be a debriefing session inviting people closely related to Master Akechi and us, and our predecessors in the SM industry, and the second part will be a reception with live performances for the general public for a fee, where we will hold a small banquet to give our report and greetings.
This is the event of determination and resolve to assume the name of Akechi, and we hope you will enjoy Akechi-ism in the second part. We hope as many of you as possible could be there! [Sorry, there are no plans for live streaming, etc.]
Finally, we would like to apologize to Kyojo Yumeji, who had supported as a partner of Akechi Denki for many years, for the many inquiries she received regarding our succession. We are very sorry to have caused Yumeji-san discomfort due to our lack of consideration, while we were free to do so as we had received her informal consent from our communication with her. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.
We wish prosperity and good health to everyone who has given their hearts and minds to the person and rope of Akechi Denki, and look forward to your continued guidance and encouragement.

この度、私こと神凪は、故明智伝鬼の権利を管理する明智企画と諸先輩方を含む関係者各位からのご推薦とご賛同を頂戴いたしまして、令和4年9月11日（師の生誕日）より、明智神凪と名乗らせて頂く運びとなりました。
残念なことではありますが、現代の若い世代には明智伝鬼（でんき）ご存知ない方もいらっしゃることと思います。明智伝鬼は1980年代から2005年まで数多のSMビデオ・SMライブ・マスメディアにおいて国民的な知名度を誇る多彩な活躍をしてまいりました。女性の心に寄り添いながら、その一方で鬼畜なプレーを心から愉しんできた生粋のSMプレーヤーでした。
日本伝統武芸としての捕縄術を分析し研究しながら、時代に先駆けた視点と卓越したセンスで、当時としては斬新な縛りのスタイルを次々と編み出して世間を圧倒し、現代の緊縛に大きな影響を与えた日本のSMを象徴する存在でした。
現在、日本のみならず世界の緊縛ファンに愛用されている縛りの型のモデル、後ろ高手小手の襷掛け縛りは背面の六角形（亀甲型）の留め方、捕縄高手小手縛り等は明智伝鬼によって生み出されたものです。SMプレイの中の縛りから現代緊縛という概念と技法を確立し、同じく稀代の緊縛師故濡木痴夢男氏とはまた別のアプローチで一体系を築いていきました。また、1998年、99年のオランダ公演をはじめとして欧州に縛りを紹介し、国際的に発信した文化人の第一人者となりました。
その性格はおおらかで決して才能をひけらかすことなく、挑戦や学びに対して謙虚で貪欲でした。師の類稀なる人間性と学びの姿勢を間近で見て学ぶことができたのは、私にとって何物にも代えがたい人生の財産であったと思います。
明智伝鬼の後継者に関しては今までさまざまな噂や憶測が飛び交い、少なからず混乱も招いてきました。明智には明智炎華（えんか）・明智蕾火（らいか）・明智伽刹（かでら）という三人の女弟子がおりました。また、長年明智の補佐を務めてきた才勝氏も、明智伝鬼の代理で縛る際には明智才鬼（さいき）という名で活動していました。
私自身は2000年に師・明智伝鬼と出会って緊縛を教わり、初めてのショーも師と華々しく行い、様々なイベントで共演の機会を頂くうちに、自分が師と仰ぐ人は今後もこの方しかいないと決意して自らお願いして明智を名乗ることとなりました。
2005年7月17日に師が急逝、この時に姉弟子の蕾火と私は明智姓を返上。その後、2015年に蕾火が引退するに当たり、兄弟弟子として明智の縄を伝え継ぐことを託されたという経緯があります。この度、19年ぶりに宿願が叶い、正式に明智姓を名乗る運びとなりました。
私にとって明智伝鬼は生涯に唯一人の師であり、亡き後も常に明智師の姿を念頭に置いて活動に励んでまいりました。正直なところこの悲願が報われる日が来るとは夢にも思わず、念願叶った今はただ嬉しいの一言に尽きます。
明智師本人に直接許しを頂戴できないことは誠に残念ですが、師亡き後も明智の名はSM・緊縛界にとって永遠に消えない大きな名跡であり、その大きな名を継承することの重責を改めて痛感しております。師の遺した縛りや文化的功績を後世に伝えるために、明智の名を背負って生涯を捧げ、力の限り働かせていただく所存です。
多くの方に愛された師には、関わってくださった人の数だけ明智伝鬼像があるようで、時代により視点により数多の人物秘話も浮かび上がってきます。人間・明智伝鬼の魅力も諸先輩方からお聞きし、語り継いでいけたらと考えております。
そして、今の神凪を築き上げたのは自身の力だけではないと感じ、関係者各位のお勧めをいただいて、神楽と同じ戸籍に入り、明智神凪・明智神楽と名乗り、私どもの命の限り、真摯にこれからの人生を歩んでいきたいと思っております。
まだまだ未熟な私たちですが、明智の名を辱めることのないよう、応援してくださる皆様のご支援に深く感謝しながら、より多くの方々に縄の楽しみや悦びをお届けできるよう、心新たに努力精進してまいります。どうか、夫婦ともどもなお一層のご愛顧をいただけますよう、よろしくお願い申し上げます。
二人の真摯な決意のしるしとして、明智先生の生誕日であります来る9月11日、シアターGOO（旧・シアターPOO）において、明智神凪・明智神楽の襲名を披露申し上げる運びとなりました。
つきましては新型コロナの影響を鑑み、2部制開催とさせていただきます。１部は縁の深い方々や諸先輩方など業界の皆様向けご報告会、２部は一般向け会費制披露会とし、ご報告とご挨拶を兼ねて心ばかりの小宴を催したいと存じます。
覚悟と決意の襲名披露会ですが、２部では明智イズムをお楽しみいただけたらと思います。もちろん１部＆２部合わせてのご参加も歓迎いたします。できるだけ多くの皆様にお立ち会いいただけましたら幸いです！
末筆になりましたが、長年のパートナーとして明智伝鬼を支えてこられた京城夢路氏には、今回の私共の襲名に関して多数のお問い合わせがあり、ご迷惑をおかけしております。私共の思慮不足により夢路氏にご不快な思いをさせてしまい、大変申し訳なく思っております。ご迷惑をおかけしましたことを謹んでお詫び申し上げます。
